About
Us

We have been doing commercial embroidery for over 8
years, providing services for our local TaeKwonDo centers,
Engineering Companies, Dog Breed National Shows, and club
sports. We are known for our attention to detail
-- that means offering a great looking shirt with high quality
embroidery designs stitched with the right colors and thread
that gives the design a special touch. Sometimes that
individual touch takes a little time: our customers'
satisfaction is more important to us than quick
turnaround. When you order an Embroider Bee product, it's
made for you, not pulled from a shelf. |

Our embroidery is run on
three Happy 15 needle single heads
and two Happy Voyager. What does this mean?
Each costs as
much as a small car, runs one shirt, or bag, or towel at a time. With a variety of special hoops, we can embroider
large designs on many types of surfaces: shirts, towels, tote or
sports bags. Few requests have been simple, but the
machines have been able to handle anything I have the patience
to tackle, from celebrating athletic achievement on a thick
TaeKwonDo belt to monogramming someone's handmade, irreplaceable
quilt.

We use WILCOM ES-65 software to edit
designs to your specific needs or to digitize custom
work. Digitizing is the process of converting art that
has been scanned or created digitally (by programs like Corel or
Photoshop) into designs that can be stitched. It takes
years of training and practice plus specialized (expensive!)
software to turn art into a design that is interpreted
artistically and stitches efficiently. The following two
pictures show the customer-provided artwork and the digitized
design stitched onto the back of a soccer jacket. The
jacket photograph doesn't do justice to the gradual blending of
colors from yellow to deep burnt orange. And take my
word for it, there are many hours tucked between receiving the
art and stitching out the set of team jackets: digitizing,
sewing out a first attempt, correcting, sewing out the
correction, ..., well, you get the drift.

I'm fussy. OK, I'm downright
picky. I spend a great deal of time making sure that the
thread color I chose for a design is close to real life.
When I received a request for a Marlin, I couldn't tell you the
difference between a Marlin and a Sailfish.
After researching sports fish on the internet, I can now
distinguish between them and come as close as possible to
replicating the natural beauty of a glistening fish with just
the right touch of iridescent thread. The foray into dog breed
Nationals gives new meaning to thread color. We now own
nearly every shade of every brown, mahogany, cream, and gray
thread from most manufacturers! |
